2019 Wooden Boat Festival

Mark Donahue, along with Ken Greff, co-managed the final phase of the 1913 National Historic Landmark schooner Adventuress' restoration. The six-month project was completed in April 2019 thanks to the talented shipwrights and tradespeople of Haven Boatworks, dedicated Sound Experience staff, funding from WA State and generous private contributors, and the "hearts and hands" of volunteers from Port Townsend and throughout the Puget Sound region. Mark will share the opportunities and challenges in completing this largest and last restoration phase, with support from Catherine Collins, Executive Director of the nonprofit Sound Experience which owns and operates Puget Sound's official environmental tall ship.
