Sam Devlin designed the Song Wren, a 21-foot gaff-rigged cutter, in 2011, and this is the first example to be completed. Builder Larry Cheek will explain and illustrate the construction process, including the custom design of the cabin interior and other personal riffs departing, for better or worse, from the plans. Cheek will also talk about cost, problem-solving, and managing the emotional cycles that accompany a project like this.
