Bruce Halabisky is a traditional wooden boat builder and sailor who lives on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. He is a frequent contributor to Wooden Boat Magazine and was a recipient of the Ed Monk memorial scholarship for his efforts in preserving traditional hull shapes. He and his wife, Tiffany, spent 11 years sailing round the world on their gaff cutter "Vixen" for which they were awarded the 2018 Blue Water Medal by the Cruising Club of America.
